This post is going to be about water, sand and night drama.
Spending few days here we got a chance to get familiar with the beach in Kuta and already a few spots around Uluwatu. Just to give proper perspective on things, the beach in Kuta is nice, they say it's the perfect spot to do surfing on beginner - medium level and from the first check it really seems to be. But it's also very close to the big city and has this vibe of plastic chairs for rent and dozens of locals asking you about massage, tattoo, bracelets or coconuts literally the second you stand on that sand.
Uluwatu vibe is different. It really is a surfers spot. It gives the local feeling. The roads to get there lead through villages and jungle surroundings. Beaches are not crowded at all, at least until the sunset and maybe we should say, at least for now. Beautiful cliffs and amazingly blue water in perfect temperature that feels refreshing when entering and warm when swimming <dedykujemy Zandi>. There are places with people and those that feel literally like a private beach.

About Suluban we already mentioned. The breathtaking spot for professional surfers with cave type of entrance but not much space to chill for longer.
To get to Padang Padang you need a ticket for 15 000 rupias per person, a fight with monkeys and this beach is the one with people. It's definitely interesting, but M was way more in favor of it than P.

Personal favorite for now is Balangan beach. During the day you can meet only few people there. The seaside is stony at the beginning which makes it full of living creatures and very interesting to observe and then ends up with sandy little bay perfect for a swim.

Well, well, well. It all sounds great, but stay calm and be careful with the sun. One of our beautiful beach days ended with a real drama. After spending some time in the sun and having lunch in very hidden, local restaurant which felt more like eating at somebody's home rather than eating out, we headed Willy's homestay, our new hotel.
It all started inconspicuously with Miguel having a bit of a headache. But quickly evolved into strong sweating, feeling like vomiting and mumbling. Time for a little imagination session: it's 1am in completely new place far from the city to which you can get only riding a scooter through empty and dark village roads. Also this place tends to be on the other side of the world. There might be million reasons for the symptoms and it's getting worse literally every minute. Maybe migraine, maybe food poisoning, maybe one of those creepy diseases. 0 medicines.

It was the first day we didn't have medicines with us. Why? We went only for 3 days leaving suitcases in our first hotel with medical package inside. Some would say what a luck.
But thankfully Miguel has amazing specialists close and it was a matter of 3 phone calls, one Gojek driver and a bit of sleep to calm the situation down. Mama, Trini, Rafa, thank you! You are real heroes.
Next morning was a completely different story. Miguel was doing well and just to make sure that everything is under control we granted ourselves a calm day full of rest. Another lesson learned.
