Aware of the need of having a motorbike if we want to get places we started our research and found out that the reasonable options for the type of people like us and the type of needs like ours should be available for up to 1 000 000 rupias per month. Ach yes, we haven't mentioned it yet, we are millionaires here. So, we read a bit about the risk of riding a motorbike in Bali, which very quickly made it clear why most of the insurance companies exclude this type of transportation from the scope, and found our way around it.

Walking through the center of Kuta we stepped on the paper attached to the old bike saying 'For rent call +62...' and decided to ask. This way we met Tirta, a very nice Balinese, local tour guide who is renting motorbikes for short and long term. And that's how we got Bruno, our motorbike for the rest of the trip.

Well when they say you need to be carful riding a bike in Bali they really mean it. Worth mentioning is that in Bali you drive on the left side of the road. But as Miguel is having 8 years of experience riding a bike and did it for a long time in Vietnam, we are relatively safe, no? <blinking eye>
Even though it's a sport only for people with nerves of steel and requires Miguel screaming 'Silenzion Bruno' to me when I get terrified just to remind me that sometimes life is all about taking risk, Bruno is taking us places and allowing to experience the island the way locals do. And this delicious fooooood!

So we hope this story will have a happy ending.
This post is also a strong recommendation to watch Disney's production "Luca".
